Our goal is to reduce food miles and help people in Sussex find and enjoy the best food available on their doorstep. With an increasing desire for greater awareness of the origins and traceability of the products that are brought, we can guarantee that our animals have had a wonderful life; born and reared on the farm. A small local abattoir is used to reduce travel time and stress. All our animals are reared as additive free as possible and without the use of growth promoters or hormones
The farm is owned and run by Sharon Barnard & Trevor Gregory. Purchased in 2004 the farm has undergone extensive modernisation and renovation to become the thriving farm it is today. We run a herd of Sussex cattle, a flock of Southdown, Jacob & Suffolk sheep and breed Gloucester Old Spot and Oxford Sandy & Black pigs. Along with 1000 free range laying hens and table chicken. A large range of fresh and frozen meat is always available. We grow a majority of the vegetables which are complimented by a small amount of local seasonal fruit, vegetables and other yummy treats. From conception to table Why not try one of our home made pies or ready meals; made from our own produce and cooked on site. See the Farmhouse Kitchen for more details. |

Tucking the piglets in bed at night on a cold winters eve is a really important job. |

Conservation and care for wildlife is very important to us at The Old Dairy.
New hedgerows and wild flower margins have been created around the farm; along with beetle houses and a secret garden with plants grown specifically to encourage wildlife and insects. |
